WHO CAN TAKE PART?:
The following persons are eligible to enter this competition:
ARTICLE 1 – ORGANIZING-ORGANIZATION
The non-profit organization called BETTER WORLD BY AFRICA FOUNDATION under which the AFRICAN MISS UNIVERSITY OF THE WORLD contest is organized, governed under No. 00001103, whose head office is located in Cameroon, Hotel du Plateau, express-union building , 2nd floor, represented by its President Mrs. DOUDOU LOUMLE BOUBA Béatrice, organizes the International Election "AFRICAN MISS UNIVERSITY OF THE WORLD 2018" (hereinafter "The International Election") will be registered and / or will be the subject in principle a reality TV broadcast on the channel vox africa to International and TVC Benin in the national and the direct of the final in particular and / or on the Internet, on fixed and mobile telephony, and / or on other broadcasting media for television channels and radio partners. (hereinafter the Emission). At the end of the International Election, will be elected the Miss AFRICAN UNIVERSITY OF THE WORLD 2018 and its Dauphins.
ARTICLE 2 – CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The AFRICAN MISS UNIVERSITY OF THE WORLD 2018 International Election brings together 20 finalist candidates selected by pre-selection criteria. To participate in the International Election, each of the candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Be of African descent
- Be enrolled or have the university degree
- Be between 18 and 28 years old
- Know how to express yourself in French and / or English
- Measure at least 1.65 m
ARTICLE 3 – MISS STORY
The reality TV is the particularity of AMUW, from 29/06/2019 to 27/07/2019 the candidates will be interned in a villa, where they will share with us their dailies, the goal being to enhance the intellect of the Miss, to preach to live together, the fight against racism, union, peace, cultural mixing and to show the hidden side of a miss contest.
ARTICLE 4– FIRST PRE-SELECTION OF 10 CANDIDATES BY A JURY OF PRE-SELECTION AMONG THE 20 FINALIST CANDIDATES IN COMPETITION
A preselection jury composed of a minimum of 6 members appointed by the president AFRICAN MISS UNIVERSITY OF THE WORLD (professionals of the world of the spectacle and the media, partners of the election African miss university of the world, representatives of AMUW Organization) will establish during the week preceding the holding of the International Election, the confidential list of the ten (10) candidates selected among the 20 candidates in competition.
Each finalist candidate will pass competitions such as: talent, intelligence, cooking, pan-African debate and many other mini competitions. Living together, promising projects for Africa presented by herself. The assessment of the candidates taking into account these elements.
Candidates will also be voted on by viewers
Each member of the jury freely selects 10 candidates in writing. The counting of all the voting sheets makes it possible to designate, according to the rule of the greatest number of times mentioned, the ten semi-finalists; In the event of a tie in the last places, all the members of the jury will vote again by secret ballot to decide the ex-aequos according to the same rule of the greatest number of times mentioned, as long as ties points remain. This event will be held under the control of a bailiff.
ARTICLE 5 - CONTROL OF BAILIFF OR LAW OFFICER
All the votes (pre-selection, selection of the five finalists, African university of the world 2019 and ranking) will be under the control of a bailiff present during all phases of voting operations. He will establish the different voting procedures of the International Election.
ARTICLE 6 - WINNER OF THE INTERNATIONAL ELECTION
The nominee Miss African University of the World will be the winner of the International Election and will win the prizes announced for A.M.U.W 2019 on the air as part of the International Election Issue.
The 5 winners will lend for one year of mandate their image, their name, their voice on the AMUW organizing committee which will have full rights of use
Anyone wishing to use the image, the voice, the name itself or the candidate must first address the committee, no image or representation that affects the winner must be exploited or used without the prior agreement of the President of the AMUW Organizing Committee.
The 5 winners will give back to the committee the 30% of the revenues on the use of their image, name, voice (advertising contract, magazine cover, conference ...). During their term.
ARTICLE 8 - RESPONSIBILITY & RESERVES
The participation of viewers in the vote implies the full recognition and acceptance of the characteristics and limits of electronic communications networks and services, particularly with regard to the technical performance, the response time for consulting, interrogating, transmitting or transfer information, risks of interruption or malfunction of networks or systems, risks related to the connection, problems related to the congestion of networks or computer systems, the absence of protection of certain data against diversions possible and the risk of contamination by any viruses circulating on the networks and neither the TV channel nor AMUW Organization can be held responsible.
The viewer and / or the candidates will not therefore be able to claim any compensation, compensation or compensation of any kind whatsoever and therefore no claim will be made under the above, what the viewer and / or or the candidates expressly recognize.
ARTICLE 9 - DISPOSITIONS
9.1. The televised broadcast of the International Election requires AMUW Organization to comply with the regulations on audiovisual communication, and that the need for security, respect for people and property and, more generally, the peaceful progress of the International Election imply abstain from:
- smoking in public, being specified that it is strictly forbidden to the candidates especially for reasons of regulation and security of smoking in the places where the television broadcast of Election International takes place;
- keep in public, even in an ironic and second-rate manner, racist and / or discriminatory remarks of any kind;
- to engage in any form of violence, intimidation or harassment towards other candidates and / or jury members;
- in front of the cameras, make direct or indirect comments about other elections and / or broadcasts or any of their candidates.
- damage to technical equipment or movable and / or immovable property located in the villa and / or impede in any way the visual and sound recording of the International Election or risk being charged in relation to damages;
- to damage the environment and / or the objects which decorate the places of the International Election and / or the villa;
- to let drag the dirt, garbage in the villa, not to keep the premises clean, tidy and in good condition.
- and in general, to behave in a manner contrary to morality, public order or the spirit of competition based on values of elegance, intellect and culture.
9.2 Each candidate participates in the National Election only because she wishes it for her personal and non-professional interest. It has no obligation to participate or to continue this participation and may decide to interrupt its participation in the International Election at any time, if it so desires. In this case, she will simply be disqualified from the International Election. In the event that a candidate wishes to end her participation in the International Election, it will be her responsibility to notify AMUW Organization of her intention. The Company will organize the departure of the candidate as soon as possible.
9.3. The participation of Candidates in the International Election is free of charge and does not give rise to any form of remuneration and / or compensation.
9.4. Participation in the International Election implies the unconditional acceptance of these Rules and entails compliance with all the provisions of the Rules of the International Election.
9.5. Candidates must provide sincere and accurate information to AMUW Organization as part of the pre-selection and selection process at the International Election and will inform the Company of any past or future event that could, if applicable, affect their participation in the Election. and / or its dissemination.
Such information is declaratory and AMUW Organization can not be held liable for any reason whatsoever in this regard. Any misrepresentation by a candidate in connection with her / his designation as Miss and / or selection at the International Election may result in disqualification. AMUW Organization will have the faculty to replace or not the candidate.
9.6. Non-compliance by a candidate with the rules of the International Election and / or applicable laws and regulations and / or her / his decision not to participate in the assessments of the International Election and / or to leave the Election, even temporarily, may result in disqualification from the International Election or, if AMUW Organization finds such non-compliance subsequent to the International Election, its removal.
In case of dismissal of the Miss elected under the conditions mentioned above, the Miss AMUW 2018 elected will be replaced by one of the Dauphins, AMUW Organization reserving the right to submit the 4 Dauphins to a system of voting by the public or any other voting system allowing the appointment of the replacement of Miss African University of the world 2018.
9.7. In case of premature departure of a candidate of the International Election and especially in case of disqualification, AMUW Organization will have the faculty to replace said candidate by a substitute candidate representing or not the region concerned by the premature departure of the first candidate. It is specified that AMUW Organization is however not required to replace a candidate who would have left the National Election prematurely.
In the event that the disqualification of a candidate for any reason whatsoever (voluntary departure, misrepresentation, non-compliance with these voting rules) occurs after the first pre-selection of 10 candidates as described in Article 2 AMUW Organization may replace the disqualified candidate with one of the non-preselected candidates who has obtained the highest number of points.
